The Senate Committee voted to send the Abolition Bill to the floor of the Kansas Senate. Please contact your state Senators to let them know your position on the death penalty. In the committee, those testifying in favor of capital punishment repeatedly said that "the people" want it. We need to let them know there are people in Kansas who do not want the death penalty.

Get active in  one of our member or endorsing organizations. Many churches and other groups in Kansas oppose capital punishment. Groups that endorse the goal of abolition are listed on the About KsCADP page.

Invite a speaker or show a video at a local meeting of your social or service organization; the Coalition can help you to find a speaker, video, or provide printed material.

Write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper.
